1. Ordering
(a) Xcel Cars will act on behalf of the Purchaser, as an Agent to arrange the purchase of a vehicle chosen by the Purchaser, from a Motor Dealer or supplier within the EU (The Seller).
(b) The Contract of Sale is between the Purchaser and the Seller.
(c) The Purchase is subject to the following:
An Order accepted and signed by the Purchaser.
A Contract from the Seller accepted and signed by the Purchaser.
A deposit paid by the Purchaser direct to Xcel Cars which is held in an account until the transaction is complete and the car is delivered and accepted
The Delivery time quoted is approximate and subject to the availability of the vehicle and any delays imposed by the manufacturer.
Any requested changes to the specification of the vehicle must be made through the agent and confirmed in writing. There is no guarantee that the manufacturer will incorporate these changes once a build date has been confirmed.
In the event of supply being suspended by the Manufacturer resulting in an inability to supply the car to the Purchaser, an alternative may be offered. However, should this not be a suitable alternative, Xcel Cars shall not take responsibility for any change of cost incurred.
2. Prices (New Cars)
(a) Imports - All prices that are quoted in £ (Pounds Sterling) and are calculated using the exchange rate applicable on that day and are subject to any currency fluctuations.
The quoted price is made up of the following components:
(b) Sellers costs which include, the price of the vehicle, the delivery from the factory to the sellers premises, the pre-delivery inspection and preparation, and any other agreed costs incurred by the seller.
(c) Transportation costs to include, transport and shipping costs from the Seller to the Agent.
(d) Arrangement fee, which can vary dependant upon the Make and Model of Vehicle required.
(e) UK VAT calculated at 17.5%.
(f) Road Fund Licence and Government's first Registration Fee
Delivery to your door can be arranged at extra cost upon request. (Where applicable)
The Sellers reserves the right to pass on any increases of price imposed by the manufacturer, normally due to model year specification enhancements. Xcel Cars will notify you without delay of any such changes.
3. Payments
(a) Deposits
Normally 10% of the purchase price unless otherwise informed, will be paid by the Purchaser direct to the Seller.
The deposit is non refundable once the order has been placed with and accepted by the manufacturer.
(b) Sellers Payment
To be made by the Purchaser direct to the Seller once the Final Invoice has been checked and authorised for payment by the Agent.
(c ) Payment to the Agent
This payment is to be made by Banker's Draft, Building Society Cheque, or by (ClearedFunds), and can be made on collection of the vehicle. Bank Transfers must be complete one day before delivery or collection of the vehicle.
The payment includes the following charges, Arrangement fee, Transportation and Shipping costs, Road fund licence, Registration fee and UK Vat.
4. Currency
Because all exchange rates are subject to daily fluctuations, we would advise you to protect yourself against the risk of any increase in the price of your vehicle because of the exchange rate, by considering fixing the currency rate.
You should take independent financial advice regarding currency fixing and purchases.
